Note from Marlene Plumley, Anne Arundel Dive Services owner:
I enjoy a special relationship with my hometown (Severn,West and Rhode Rivers) racing community. To the teams I have served for many years and those new to my family, thank you for your loyal and continued support. I am dedicated to your team's success and my value proposition is your team's competitive advantage. It is because of this competitive advantage and my commitment to excellence I have established the following TERMS FOR LOCAL WEEKLY RACING:
1. Dive season begins May 15 or when water temp is above 63 degrees registered at Thomas Point Lighthouse, whichever is first and ends October 31. This is for safety reasons. Exception to this policy is the Annapolis NOOD Regatta and any sailing events after Oct 31, but before water temp falls below 63 degrees).
2. Dry sail racers and special events this service is intended for multi day events; please see Terms Agreement for Out of Town Regattas
3. Pricing for Weekly Racing Season is based upon a weekly cleanings or a pre-arranged written cleaning schedule (contact Marlene for pricing).
- If you elect to skip any cleaning (example clean every other week), add $1/ft/week additional to the base rate, not to exceed $5/ft/week, assuming the bottom paint qualities will allow.
- Baltoplate and VC Offshore bottom paint is prescribed to be cleaned weekly when water temp is over 70 degrees, no exceptions.
- It is my company's discretion to decline any job until the boat has been power washed and baselined.
4. Boat maintenance: Because your competitive advantage is dependent on me effectively cleaning the boat's bottom, it is necessary to keep a properly maintained hull:
- Apply non-ablative hull paint (number of coats based upon manufacturer’s specifications) every 12 months.
- If the bottom paint is Baltoplate or VC Offshore and applied after the normal start of the racing season (May 1st), the boat is expected to start the season with a clean, baselined bottom, example powerwash.
- IMPORTANT NOTE: There will be a 50% surcharge to all cleanings after 12 months from the last applied coat of bottom paint and subject to cancellation of agreement if the bottom doesn’t meet this specification.
5. You can expect the following from Anne Arundel Dive Services:
- Your boat will be cleaned based upon our written agreement through the end of the Summer and Fall Racing Series. After Sept 1st, once water temps drop below 70 degrees, at your discretion we can adjust the scheduled cleaning agreement, assuming the bottom paint qualities will allow.
- If for any reason I cannot clean on an expected day due to personal health, I will have a reliable back-up diver take care of the service.
- I am happy to negotiate additional cleanings during weekend regattas and championships.
- My business is a certified “Clean Diver” business in accordance with the Clean Marinas Act and have pledged to use the least aggressive means to clean your boat. I am happy to use a different cleaning material at your request. If you have a specific material or product you want me to use, please text me at (443)949-4476. There may be additional costs for accommodating your request. Please understand more aggressive materials may have a detrimental effect to your hull's surface/finish and possibly the environment. If you find issues with your hull when you haul out, please make me aware.
- I will promptly alert you to any concerns below the waterline and photograph if possible.
- I will bill you via email at the end of each month unless you specify an alternate billing cycle. I accept cash, check and all major credit cards (via Square Up Mobile payment processing). I respectfully ask you to pay promptly, not more than 15 days.
